Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Slice, operated at emailslice.app (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, starting a trial, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Slice is a browser-based tool that helps you slice email designs, generate alt text, and publish sliced images to Klaviyo. Plan limits (such as the number of brands you can manage) depend on the subscription you select. We may update features, limits, or supported integrations over time.

2. Accounts

You need an account to save projects and use paid features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring subscription basis unless stated otherwise at checkout. Prices, billing interval, and plan limits are shown before you complete a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal.

Merchant of record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment processing, invoicing, tax collection, and subscription billing are handled by Paddle. For billing questions, receipt copies, payment method updates, or refund requests related to charges, contact Paddle via Paddle.net or the support link on your receipt.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Except where required by applicable law, paid subscription charges are non-refundable. Use the 7-day free trial to evaluate the service before you are charged. Cancel before renewal to avoid future charges.

4. Free trials and promotional access

We may offer free trials or promotional access. Unless we state otherwise, a trial converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends if you have added a payment method. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Promotional pricing or extended free access may be changed or ended at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use
  • Attempt to probe, disrupt, or reverse engineer the service
  • Resell or sublicense access except as permitted by your plan
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create security, legal, or abuse risk.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of email designs, images, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service (for example, running auto-slice and alt-text generation, storing project data, and publishing to Klaviyo at your direction).

7. Third-party services

Slice integrates with third-party services such as Klaviyo. Your use of those services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, or data handling outside our control.

8. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Slice software, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or underlying technology except the limited right to use the service as described here.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that sliced output will meet every ESP or deliverability requirement. You are responsible for reviewing exports before sending campaigns.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, emailslice.app and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $100.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you use Paddle checkout, we will also notify Paddle of material changes to these Terms or our refund policy as required.
